BSOD 7B in safe mode

This is one that has bothered me for some time, but I never found the answer I was looking for.  There are some infections that block access to safe mode and even after they have been cleaned safe mode can not be accessed.  I had always thought that there must be some setting some where that controled how safe mode worked but I never found a satisfactory answer until I came across Didier Steven's blog.  In that post I found out about the safeboot registry key.  I found that most systems I work on have Network and Minimal are renamed to net and mini respectively.  The easiest fix is to create new keys with the proper names and copy the contents of the modified keys to the new keys.  You can also get a registry file to fix this for you from the same blog where I originally found this solution.  Once this has been done you will be able get into safe mode like normal.
